The word is vital

Psalm 119, Verse 105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet.
and a light to my path”.

 What a nice Spiritual Language for us as Kids of God, we welcome this Word of God!

This is a story of a young man who was waiting for a ride in the corner in a village, during the night with no electricity around the corner, suddenly, a car was coming from the opposite side with a high beam and was reflected on his face. The man was upset by the flashing light on him and insulted the driver. At the same time, he tried to look down on the ground and saw a big snake moving towards his feet. He jumped on the other side of the road and escaped the danger.

Because of the light of the car, the young man discovered that a danger was under his feet. He was saved from danger because of the car light. Thank God!

Light helps us to see in darkness. Light is God’s Word as well. Because the scripture said: “In the beginning was the Word, the word was with God, and the Word was God...”

 We were made with the word, so we need the word; and we need to know the word is vital and important for us to have. We need to be clothed with the word of God. The word as a light helps us to be able to walk in the right way; the word of God always guides us.

Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sins, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is your son. I believe He died for my sins and that you raised Him to life. I want you Jesus Christ to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust you as my Savior and Lord and follow you from this day forward as you grant me with your Favor. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray.

Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, thank you for the word you gave us that is the light which can guide us. Help us to read it every day so our whole body, soul, and spirit can be lighting. We pray this prayer in your name Jesus Christ.
