Some ways to build up ourselves spiritually.

^{Jude 1: 20-21 NKJV}

²⁰ But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

We are exhorted by this message today to build ourselves up to impact our faith in worshipping God. For those that are saved, confessed Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit also lives in you. The Holy Spirit as your Teacher, your Advocate will instruct you at times and also the Spirit of God demonstrates Power and without the Holy Spirit’s Power in you, you cannot be awakened spiritually. The Holy Spirit has fire, tongues and does many things to the believer in Jesus Christ. Building yourselves up comes in many forms of doing that such as, listening to other testimonies, praying, reading the word of God, fasting etc . You can build yourselves up spiritually by reading the word of God and as you understand what you read, you want to practice the good word that you read, and having positive affirmations that you want to believe in to decree and declare upon yourselves, your family, your business and your situations. And as you do that, you are building yourself and you are praying the word and living the word, in that capacity, you will water yourself up and grow to become spiritually mature, and productive in life. Some are given the speaking of tongues and for those that the Holy Spirit gave the gift of tongues to, they can build up themselves by speaking in tongues and it is to communicate directly with God, and this is another way to building up oneself. For those of you that never spoke in tongues, you can ask God for it to happen to you or you can be surprised by God one day even if you did not ask. God works in mysterious ways and His ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts.

This is my testimony: I never asked to speak in tongues, and no one ever prayed for me to speak in tongues. But one day, I was in my room, praying and reading the bible and the word became flesh to me to see and understand what I was reading then all of a sudden. I started speaking a new language I never knew. I knew right away that I was speaking in tongues and from that day, I use the speaking of tongues that the Holy Spirit gave me to build myself up and, in some situations, while seeking for answers for situations, God was able to help me find the next thing to do to breakthrough in speaking in tongues, praying, singing to God and reading the Holy Word of God.

If you are new in Christ and wants to speak in tongues, ask God to help you and He will do it for you or just let Him surprise you like He did for me.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, God of Jacob, God of Isaac, we thank you for the breathing you are giving to us today. Help us to focus on you, lean on you and keep our bodies a holy temple for you. May your will be done in our lives on earth as in your third heaven. Help us as we read your word, to be built up in all areas of our lives and teach us to know how to build ourselves up spiritually, mentally, physically, psychologically, emotionally in reading your word. I have prayed this prayer in Jesus Christ's name my Lord and Savior. Amen!
