The well of the Truth

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" John 14:6 The Bible declares that Jesus was full of grace and truth. Truth is not a principle; truth is a person: Jesus Christ. One of Jesus' clearest and most renowned statements is: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 Note that Jesus says, "I am the truth..." He doesn't say that truth is a religion, a rite, or a set of laws and regulations. He says "I." Truth is a person. This is what sets Jesus Christ apart from any other religious leader. They have said, "I seek the truth," or "I teach the truth," or "I show the way of truth," or "I am a prophet of truth." Jesus comes and says, "I am the truth!" Many think Jesus was just a great teacher! But He was much more than that! No teacher, no matter how great, could proclaim Himself to be God if He weren't! What do you do with the truth when you discover it? I would recommend these four principles: 1. Believe the truth! 2. Practice the truth! Truth is not just an intellectual exercise; it's something you obey. 3. Stand up for the truth! The Bible teaches us that our responsibility is to never oppose the truth but to defend it at all times. 4. Witness to the truth! The Bible says, "showing yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and teaching purity." Titus 2:7 .
