Preparing the way

Matthew 3:1-12

John the Baptist was one of the most significant and well-known figures in the bible. John the Baptist came to talk to people about Jesus Christ. He came to prepare the way and help the world to be ready to receive Jesus Christ as Jesus Christ arrives. He talked to people to repent, to forgive each other, to hate sin, to do God’s will and not our will. John the Baptist came to arrange the way so we will be aware about Jesus Christ’s coming to the world. Today, John the Baptist is talking about Jesus Christ as well, we must hear the same voice today; and be ready to welcome Him. Are we ready to welcome Him and receive Him? if yes, He is knocking at our door. Let us make our body clean, in order to have that joy to celebrate His birth.

Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sins, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is your son. I believe He died for my sins and that you raised Him to life. I want you Jesus Christ to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust you as my Savior and Lord and follow you from this day forward. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, we come to you, we magnify you, we worship you, we know that you are our God, you are the powerful and Highest God we know, we welcome your Presence. We want you more. Help us to hate sin, help us to be ready for you. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray. Amen!
