Jesus contrasts His purpose with that of the "thief" (Satan).

Satan's goal is to harm and destroy.

Jesus' goal is to give life and abundance.

 Jesus is the source of life and abundance.

 Satan is the enemy of humanity, seeking to destroy and harm.

 Jesus' mission is to provide eternal life and fullness of life.

To apply this to our personal lives, we can just trust in: 

 Jesus for eternal life and abundance. Be aware of Satan's schemes to harm and destroy.

Seek Jesus' guidance and protection.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come before you and I ask you to forgive my sins, preserve and restore me. Write my name in the book of life. Thank you, Jesus Christ, for accepting me as I am. In Jesus Christ’s name I prayed. Amen! 

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father. Thank you for your love and care you consistently provide to me. You are faithful, you are just, and I ask that you show me the way you want me to praise you and elevate you higher for all the days of my life. Forgive me for my wrong doings and teach me your ways. Thank you for everything you do for me, my family. my friends and nation. In Jesus Christ’s name I prayed. Amen!
