- Freely we receive and freely we will give.
Freely we receive and freely we will give.
Matthew 10:8
Commentary*
1. Generosity and Selflessness: Jesus emphasizes the importance of giving freely, without expecting payment or reward.
2. Stewardship of Gifts: Disciples are reminded to share the blessings and gifts they've received from God with others.
3. Kingdom Principles: This verse illustrates the upside-down nature of God's kingdom, where giving and serving are valued over receiving and accumulating.
Application
1. Give without Expectation: Share your time, talents, and resources without expecting anything in return.
2. Recognize God's Provision: Acknowledge that everything you have comes from God and is meant to be shared with others.
3. Embody Kingdom Values: Live out the principles of generosity, humility, and selflessness in your daily life.
Reflection
Questions 1. How can you apply the principle of "freely giving" in your life?
2. What gifts or blessings have you received from God that you can share with others?
3. How does this verse challenge your understanding of wealth, possessions, and materialism?
God gives talents to all of us who were created by Him. He wants those talents of gifts to be used to help his people. When we pray for people, never ask for money or something in return, because freely we receive and freely we have to give.
For those who want to receive Jesus Christ please repeat after me:
Dear lord Jesus Christ, I come to you, I know I am a sinner, I know you die on the cross for my sins, forgive what I did to you and wash me to be white as snow. I ask this In Jesus Christ name Amen!
Heavenly Father, God of Abraham
Thank you again for today, help us to give freely as we receive freely. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen!
Have a blessed Sunday!
