Elisha accepts his call

Let us be humble

1 Kings 19:19-21

Elijah met Elisha and wanted Elisha to follow him to serve God. Elisha didn’t hesitate. He did everything to get ready. He went to say goodbye to his own parents before joining Elijah in ministry. Elisha got rid of his wealth, used some to feed the needy and became involved in working in ministry with Elijah. As wealthy as Elisha was, he was very humble and dedicated himself to be willing to serve God. God likes people who are humble and lifts them up.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for all you are for us. Help us to be humble while serving you. We pray this prayer in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen!
