Spiritual Wisdom

1 Corinthians 2

We read in 1 Corinthians 2 that the apostle Paul continues his letter to the church in Corinth, emphasizing the importance of spiritual wisdom and the role of the Holy Spirit in revealing God's truths.

Paul begins by reminding the Corinthians that when he first came to them, he did not rely on eloquent speech or worldly wisdom to preach the gospel. Instead, he came with humility, fear, and trembling. His focus was on the message of Jesus Christ, particularly Christ crucified. Paul wanted their faith to rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God. God’s Wisdom and the Hidden Mystery. Paul contrasts the wisdom of the world with the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God is not understood by the rulers and elites of the world because it is a mystery hidden from them.
This wisdom, however, is revealed to believers through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit searches the deep things of God and makes them known to those who belong to Christ. Paul references Old Testament prophecy, emphasizing that what God has prepared for those who love Him is beyond human comprehension.
Paul explains that just as a person knows their own thoughts, only the Spirit of God can fully understand the mind of God. This same Spirit has been given to believers, enabling them to understand spiritual truths.
The wisdom of God is not something that can be discerned by natural, worldly means. The "natural person" (unbeliever) cannot accept or understand spiritual matters, but those who have the Holy Spirit are able to comprehend them.

For those who would like to receive Jesus Christ, please repeat after me:

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to you as your lovely child, forgive my sins, I come to you to be restored. Help me to receive you Jesus Christ as my savior. Write my name in the book of life. Thank you, Jesus Christ, iny your name I pray Amen!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for choosing us and loving us always no matter our behaviors. We honor you and celebrate you and allow us to know how to cherish and love you the way you prefer it to be done. As Paul preached Christ Crucified, help us all to not be ashamed of the gospel. Help us to believe in you, your power, the role of the Holy
Spirit in our lives and for you to always make the word flesh for us and alive in us so we are led by your Spirit. We pray this prayer in
Jesus Christ's name. Amen!
